Sieber is a 1981 graduate of Notre Dame. He began his college career in Physics before changing paths and pursuing his media vocation through concentrations in government, economics, history, and literature. As a result, he has what might be described as an eclectic set of interests – which explains why he enjoys reporting and interviewing on a wide variety of topics, including the weather, of course!
